IWC

Originally, IWC was an American company producing watches in Switzerland for the US market. In 1868, the company moved to Schaffhausen, Switzerland. IWC really made a name for itself in World War II by making intricate Pilot’s Watches. IWC has long been regarded amongst the finest Swiss manufacturers of watches and they have continued to produce spectacular complicated pieces to maintain and expand their reputation. The "Big Pilot", “Portuguese” and “Aquatimer” are all incredible lines for IWC. The newest release is a new "Da Vinci" Chronograph and Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in a Tonneau shaped case that will be very hot. All models of IWC are relatively limited production with demand often exceeding supply. True limited editions sell out rapidly at or near suggested retails. Typical internet discounts for IWC are not strong with the average being 20 – 30%. There are a few models of IWC such as the “SL Automatic” and “GST” that are available with stronger discounts as they have been discontinued. Known for having a great reputation for quality, the market for both new and used IWC is overall very strong.
